Old St. Mary's Church

The historic St. Mary’s Church building, 606 W. Broadway, is now a beautiful venue for a small wedding or other ceremony, concert, lecture, etc. The main floor consists of a vestibule and sanctuary, which is furnished with wooden pews. Additional stacking chairs are available. An outside door leads up narrow steps to the balcony, which can also hold chairs. Two toilets are available in the basement, accessed through another outside door. Please note that there is street parking only at the church, and that this building is not handicapped-accessible – there are 7 steps up to the main floor.

The pews provide seating for roughly 100 people. There are extra chairs available for a small amount of additional guests.



The church is located on a corner lot with a spacious lawn.


Inside, you'll find historic furnishings, including a gorgeous altar.


Ample seating is available for your guests or audience.


You can decorate the church for weddings and other occasions.


Stained glass windows provide a beautiful backdrop for your event.


The church is also the perfect place for concerts and recitals!


The space has great acoustics suitable for all types of music.


Rate (per day):

The church may be used for weddings, lawn activities, funerals, recitals, baptisms, and meetings. Any exceptions to types of events must be approved by the VCHS Board of Directors.

Terms:

To rent Old St. Mary's Church for your event, you can either fill out the reservation form online, or stop by the museum for a paper copy. Please complete the form at least two weeks before your event.
