Volunteer Opportunities Available
Are you interested in history? Do you enjoy seeking out buried treasure? The Vernon County Historical Society has just what you need! Volunteers at the Historical Society are vital to our goal of preserving and sharing Vernon County's heritage.
There are many volunteer opportunities at the Vernon County Museum:
Do you enjoy research? Our volunteers often help us investigate historical topics.
More of an organizational type? We can always use help getting organized. Even if you just want to lend a helping hand once in a while, we have four historic buildings to clean.
Are you interested in Committee work? We have many to choose from: Capital Campaign, Membership, the Parade Committee, Program Committee, and the Tour of Homes.
Maybe you're more outgoing and would like to give Museum tours for school groups or at the Sherry-Butt House.
We also need people to act a part in the annual Cemetery Walk, or lend a hand with special events such as the Strawberry Shortcake Social.
Staffing the Museum booth at the Vernon County Fair can be fun and educational.
And the best part? We have pie!
