The Vernon County Historical Society operates four historical sites:

The Vernon County Museum
Old St. Mary's Church Museum
The Foreaker One Room Schoolhouse
The historic Sherry-Butt House


Our summer schedule is Monday through Friday, noon to 4PM and
Saturday, 10AM-2PM. These hours are for June through August.


Swift Night Out at the Museum

Saturday, July 9th at 8PM

Program starts at 8PM. Swifts return 8:30PM


Sherry-Butt House is open for the summer season

Open 1-5PM on Saturdays and Sundays all summer long, plus Independence Day, and Labor Day.

June-August: Monday thru Friday 12-4 PM, and Saturday 10-2PM
September-October: Monday thru Friday 12-4 PM
November-March: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 12-4 PM
April-May: Monday thru Friday 12-4 PM
