The Vernon County Historical Society operates four historical sites:

The Vernon County Museum
Old St. Mary's Church Museum
The Foreaker One Room Schoolhouse
The historic Sherry-Butt House

The Vernon County Museum is open to the public.
Masks are required.

We are temporarily limiting the number of people in the museum building at one time. If possible, please contact us before arriving so we can make sure that there is plenty of space for everyone.

Our winter schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 4PM.
These hours are for the months of November through March.

In the first such protest in history, women picket the White House every day from January 1917 until the 19th Amendment was ratified in August 1920. On this day, college-educated women worked the picket line.

June-August: Monday thru Friday 12-4 PM, and Saturday 10-2PM
September-October: Monday thru Friday 12-4 PM
November-March: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 12-4 PM
April-May: Monday thru Friday 12-4 PM
