Mon Aug 5: Dawson Club meets at the Normal School Museum, 10 a.m.


Thurs Aug 8: Genealogy class† meets at the Normal School Museum, 10:00 a.m. Blaine Hedberg of the Westby Area Historical Society will present a program on Norwegian immigration.


Aug 16–18: VCHS at Wild West Days! Come visit our display.


Fri Aug 23: Pork Chop Dinner fundraiser, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sherry-Butt House. Menu includes: pork chops, baked potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw,
applesauce, rolls and dessert — all for only $10!


September 2019: Autumn hours begin at the Normal School Museum: Open Monday to Friday, noon to 4 p.m.


Mon Sept 2: Sherry-Butt House open from 1 to 5 p.m., last regular day of the season. Call Donna Knower at 648-3597 if you want to schedule a tour in the fall.


Tues Sept 10: VCHS program at the Normal School Museum, 7 p.m. “Giant Steps for Vernon County” celebrating the 50th anniversary
of the Apollo 11 moon landing.


Weds Sept 11: Vernon County Fair opens! Come visit our booth at the Fair.


Thurs Sept 12: Genealogy class† meets at the Normal School Museum, 10:00 a.m. Karen Sherry will lead the class in writing our own stories for the future generations.


Sun Sept 15: Vernon County Fair closes.


Sat Sept 28: Retreat World’s Fair Centennial.


Weds Oct 2: Driftless Area Heritage Group meets at the Normal School Museum, 11:30 a.m. Potluck followed by a group discussion.


Thurs Oct 10: Genealogy class† meets at the Normal School Museum, 10:00 a.m. Webinar.


Sat Oct 12: Free screening of documentary on rural schools, “Jerry Apps: One Room School,” 4:00 p.m. at the Temple Theater.
