about Norwegian farm names and how to find family farms in Norway on maps.

storyteller Terry Visger of La Crosse will present, “The Clammer’s Wife:
The Life of a Clammer in the Pearl Button Industry on the Upper Mississippi River”.

Wed Sept 11: Vernon County Fair opens! Look for our booth inside the Expo Center.

Thurs Sept 12: Genealogy class† meets at the Vernon County History Center, 10 a.m.
This class will be an opportunity for students to help each other, to bring their
questions and to use each other as a resource.

Oct 1: Autumn hours begin at the Vernon County History Center:
Open Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment, until November 1.

Wisconsin author and UW Eau Claire English professor B.J. Hollars
will present a program about his new book, Wisconsin for Kennedy:
The Primary that Launched a President and Changed the Course of History.
